Themes: the cycle of the year and the four great festivals.

To rediscover the true power and inner content of colours. To search, to investigate, to experiment: what a colour is capable of, how it reacts, what its inner world is, what its inner laws are. Then how one colour relates to another, what happens, how it moves, what it holds within. At the beginning we will hold representation back as long as we can — until it comes forward "of its own accord". We would work through one theme at a time and experience it together. The more slowly and the more consciously we do this, the stronger the experience and the deeper our grasp of the painting process.

We learn, and we help one another in the work of painting, freely and in a natural way. Each session opens with a short talk that begins our shared painting and research work, and closes with looking at the pictures together and talking. Experiments in oil painting.

Winter break: the course resumes in January and continues every two weeks until the end of June 2027. The exact 2027 dates will be announced later.
